So start off the assignment I had to research image reference that I could use as a sort of inspiration for my artwork, after i had found the references I needed I started my exploratory stage with exploring designs for my knife, pistol and deck of cards after this I went on to doing the environment and then lastly the character. Once I had completed my exploratory stage it was time go onto the approval stage and for this I had to choose one design from the exploratory stage as a sort of base design although I had chosen a design I didn't draw it exactly the same as the exploration one like for example about two days after i had completed the approval for my knife and pistol I decided to change it because I thought that it didn't quite reach my standards, another one is when I was around halfway through the promotional stage of the character I decided to completely change his head and neck because I thought that the neck was way too long for a normal human and the head was the size of a pea and apart from these I didn't changed anything else. For the promotional part of the character I had a little trouble deciding on what colours to use but when I thought of the characters description which was that he wears brightly coloured clothes I decided to just randomly choose a colour. For my strengths I would say that having to quickly finish and think up of an idea were my strong points but for my weaknesses I would say is that I spend enough time planning and scheduling so at some point I was kind of panicking another is that I chose a time consuming method to colour my promotional stage which was to use acrylic paint but I managed to finish it on time but I did rush my promotional stage which ended up in my disatisfaction.
Over all I had a fun time doing the assignment but I don't think that my final illustration presentation isn't quite up to standards because I rushed it due to the lack of my planning.
